streaked grey
REVIEWS.RHYTHMS.RUMINATIONS.
Growing up each of us are made to understand what is right and what is wrong. Thoughts, behavior actions etc. are all clearly tagged and bagged in the black and white bins, largely by the society and more importantly by the surroundings, family and friends. As time passes by and you are trying to make sense of the world and its ways, you realize that the bins that were so clearly defined over the years cannot be separated as easily as in theory.
Then when life catches up and presents itself to you in its complete glory, things get blurry losing their tags. And the line dividing the two starts to fade. More often than not, you don’t find comfort in the white, as much as much as you were made to believe, as you do in the darker shades and you start to question this phenomena. Simply put, the less judgmental you become the sooner you realize that it’s all grey as you go about to build on your truths. To each their own. You don’t get it why, but you acknowledge it as a belief or opinion none the less and move forward.
And while you are growing wiser (read older) your wisdom starts to show up as streaks of grey in your lovely hair which happens much sooner to the millennials now when compared to the generations before. Thus, from a black and white ideology you move to streaked grey that is if you chose to.
So at any point of time, if you have found comfort somewhere in between the Black and White of things in life, then you probably are too, Streaked Grey.
