Mirror mirror oh so fine

What if you could reflect what goes on in a person’s mind?

Careful my dear, I don't know about the rest

But your thoughts wild and untamed, could most likely fail the society’s test

My thoughts are mine, who are they harming?

They are not a cause for concern or something alarming

They are yes, wild and free

But do they really need a moral police?

I'll tell you a secret love, that's long been kept

Like that your tears cleanse you after you've wept

I can only reflect the appearance that you behold

Depicting how much time has controlled

But if reflections are what you are looking for

Learn to feel with your eyes and see with your heart

Even though there is nothing that can match the power of the mind

It still relies on logic, which in matters of the heart, you rarely find

So if it is interest that you need to identify

A person's efforts towards you will be the reply

If love it is that you seek,

Their vulnerabilities and feelings are what they'll let you peek

Do you know what helplessness looks like?

It's when your mind forbids it, but your heart continues to fight

Sorrow and pain generally show up hand in hand

Hiding in plain sight and surfacing when it’s too much to withstand

You could look for reflections galore my dear

In the eternal hope to find that connection you now fear

But if you've already struck a chord and there is no scope

Know that your mind did forbid it, but your stubborn heart went rogue

So love with your mind, think with your heart

Because the day that you can't tell them apart

Is the day

Your mind would have surrendered to your fragile heart
